Dear Japanese school supporter,
We thank you for your unceasing support of the St. Louis Japanese Language School over the years. This coming January as always, our school will start off the new year with a school-wide event where we share mochi and fellowship. In past years, we have invited the general public to take part in the grand celebrations we hosted in Grant Gym of Webster University. Regretfully, we were unable to reserve that space for 2019, and had to cancel the annual entertainment that included taiko drumming, mochitsuki (mochipounding) performance, and other traditional new year activities. This year, public participation will be limited to sale of freshly made mochi in Sunnen Lounge, which is on the floor above Grant Gym.
It would give us pleasure if our mochi sales serve as a way of expressing our gratitude towards the supporters of the Japanese School who play an important role in the running of the school and improvement in the quality of education offered, and of deepening the bonds between the school and the community. The schedule and location are as follows. The event is casual and you are very welcome to invite friends and family along. We look forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
